Terms of Service

Last updated: September 2, 2026

These terms apply when you request a quote from, book, or use the services of Junk Removal Columbia SC (“we”, “us”, “our”) in Columbia, South Carolina and the surrounding Midlands. By scheduling a pickup or approving a quote, you agree to these terms.

1. Services

We provide junk removal, hauling, and light cleanout services for residential and commercial customers. The scope of any job is what we and you agree to at the time of the quote. We may decline or stop a job if conditions are unsafe, if access is not as described, or if the items fall outside what we handle.

2. Quotes and pricing

Quotes are free and carry no obligation. We give a firm price based on the volume, weight, item type, and access described to us or seen on site. That price is confirmed before we load anything. If the actual job is materially different from what was described, for example more items, heavier material, or harder access, we will give you a revised price to approve before continuing. You are not charged for work you did not approve.

Payment is due when the job is complete unless we agree otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods stated at the time of booking. Prices do not include applicable taxes where those apply.

3. Scheduling, access, and cancellations

We work in arrival windows, not exact times, and we call ahead before the crew arrives. You are responsible for providing safe, legal, and clear access to the items, including keys, gate codes, parking, and permission to be on the property. If we cannot reach the items or no one is available to approve the price, we may reschedule and a trip fee may apply.

Please give us as much notice as possible to cancel or reschedule. We ask for at least a few hours’ notice so we can offer the slot to another customer.

4. Items we cannot take

For safety and legal reasons we do not remove hazardous or regulated materials, including but not limited to:

  • Wet paint, solvents, fuels, oils, pesticides, and pool chemicals
  • Asbestos, and materials that may contain asbestos
  • Medical or biohazard waste, needles, and contaminated items
  • Ammunition, explosives, and pressurized tanks that are not empty and valved open
  • Anything a licensed specialist is legally required to handle

If you are not sure about an item, tell us before the pickup and we will let you know or point you to the right service.

5. Your property

Our crew is trained to protect floors, walls, and doorways, and we carry the licensing and insurance required for this work. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, normal wear, or damage that results from items being oversized for the space or from access you asked us to use against our advice. Any claim for damage caused by us must be reported within 3 days of the job so we can inspect it.

6. Ownership and disposal of removed items

Once items are loaded onto our truck, they become our property and are handled at our discretion. We sort loads so that usable goods go to donation, metal goes to scrap recycling, and electronics go to certified e-waste recyclers, with the remainder going to permitted disposal facilities. We cannot retrieve, hold, or return items after a pickup, so please remove anything you want to keep before the crew loads.

7. Photos

We may take photos of a job for quoting, records, training, and marketing. These photos show the items and the work area, not people or documents, and we will not publish anything that identifies your address or personal details. Tell the crew if you would prefer no photos of your job.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim connected to a job is limited to the amount you paid for that job. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including lost time, lost data, or the value of items you intended to keep but did not remove before pickup.

9. Indemnification

You agree to hold us harmless from claims that arise because information you gave us was inaccurate, because you did not have the right to dispose of the items, or because you directed us to act against our stated advice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Richland County, South Carolina.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to your job.
